Inspect
An inspection is a visual examination or survey of the fire protection system, or portion thereof to verify that it appears to be in operating condition and is free of physical damage.
Test
Testing is a procedure to determine the status of the system by conducting physical checks on the fire protection system— for water-based — such as fire pump tests, alarm tests and trip tests of Dry Pipe, deluge or pre-action valves.
Record
After each routine visit all results for the asset are recorded against the applicable items in AS1851 electronically and in logbook form if required.
Maintain
Overtime assets will become worn, fail of break. These will be reported and followed up with cost to rectify. AS1851 also includes maintenance activities at varying intervals such as annual flow and pressure testing, engine servicing and annual site survey.
Report
Technician activities are recorded electronically in our FPMS application for your individual site assets that we service. This enables us to provide a number of different reports — some on site on a USB drive left with the attendance log. Electronically via email in PDF format and printed form.
